Affiliations

The Spring-Mar Network extends far outside our membership.  We enjoy relationships with many professional organizations and support charitable causes in our community.

Spring-Mar is licensed by the State of Virginia and registered with the Fairfax County Office for Children. Read more about licensing here.

Spring-Mar is a Member of the Virginia Cooperative Preschool Council (VCPC).  The current President of VCPC is a Spring-Mar member!  We actively participate in this organization’s forums and activities because we find great value in collaborating with other cooperative preschools in the area.

Spring-Mar is a member of Parent Cooperative Preschools International (PCPI), whose mission is to provide on-going support to families, educators, and social agencies who recognize the value of parents as teachers of their children and the necessity of educating parents to meet the developmental needs of their children.

Spring-Mar sponsors a professional membership for our Director in the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), an organization dedicated to promoting high-quality learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research.

We are members of the Potomac Area Cooperative Teachers (PACT) organization which provides professional development and networking opportunities for our teachers.
